Project Overview
HCGEOT completed a residential attic insulation reinstatement project in Carlsbad Springs, Ontario, in October 2026. Following previous attic work, approximately 900 square feet of attic space required new insulation. Our team prepared the attic for installation, addressed ventilation requirements at the eaves, installed insulation retaining barriers, and applied Greenfiber SANCTUARY blown-in cellulose insulation to a target thermal resistance of R60. The completed installation provides uniform attic coverage designed to reduce heat loss and improve year-round energy efficiency.
Project Challenges
The project required careful preparation around attic framing and restricted-access areas. Maintaining ventilation at the roof eaves while achieving consistent insulation coverage was particularly important. Insulation retaining barriers were also installed to prevent cellulose migration into designated access areas.
